A Children First teacher is an early childhood professional who has demonstrated a commitment and ability to develop authentic, respectful and responsive relationships with children; create an inspiring, comfortable and individually appropriate learning environment for each child; work in partnership with parents; and collaborate with other teachers. All our teachers are college educated, with many years of experience in child development and early childhood education. At least one of our co-teachers has a graduate degree in early childhood education.
Cara, what do you think makes a good Children First teacher?
One that doesn't yell. Who likes to work with kids. Who helps kid when they're hurt. Who likes to do projects with the kids. Who likes the kids. Who likes to think about how to play pretend play. Who likes to teach them things that they don't know. Liking
the kids and wanting to be with the kids are the two most important-est, and wanting to learn how the kids are, and teaching them things that they WANT to learn.
